More about Amy

Hi Friend!

My name is Amy and I’m a walking testimony of how God can be strong in our weakness. My nature is to be introverted, fearful, cold, and quiet. However, through all of the lessons God has taught me over the years, He has given me a passion for loving and serving His people. I’ve learned to see others with a heart of compassion, and I’ve learned to share the good things God has taught me. I can confidently serve Him and be obedient, in spite of my natural tendency to withdraw in fear. But, like everyone, I am still growing and developing—desiring to become an even better image of the Creator.

I’ve been serving the church since I was a middle-schooler, and walking with the Lord since an even younger age. My testimony does not include any dramatic stories of rebellion or heartache, but I have been slowly battered into the shape of who God created me to be. I’ve been writing stories about God’s faithfulness for at least 15 years, but in more recent years have begun to recognize the importance of encouraging others to study the Scriptures. So I write, and I teach, and I encourage the people that God brings into my life.

I believe that we should not only be hearers of the Word, but doers. However, many people struggle to understand how to practically apply even simple Biblical concepts to their lives. It requires prayer, and it requires being intentional, but the results are worth it! Being able to glean insights and wisdom from the Bible has helped me significantly, and I desperately want to help others do the same.

I recently relocated to the panhandle of Florida with my husband and four sons. My husband has almost 20 years in the Army Reserves, and two of his three deployments have occurred since we got married and had kids. We currently homeschool the boys, live on several acres of land, and have a bunch of chickens and ducks. I host women’s ministry events at least monthly, and a bunch of other “family” events in between. Although I crave quiet and stillness, my home is the exact opposite of that. All the more reason to find my peace solely in God and enjoy the roller coaster He is taking me on!

My life has certainly felt like an adventure, but I wouldn’t trade it for a calmer one. It has given me plenty of ways to relate to other women, a myriad of “God” stories to tell, and many many many reasons that I need Jesus.

All my best,

Amy
